Dutch singer Murda was arrested according to the warrant issued against her after she entered the country from Sabiha Gökçen Airport last October.
The famous singer, who was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison, was sentenced to 4 years and 2 months in prison.
WHAT HAPPENED?
As a result of the investigations completed by the Istanbul Prosecutor General’s Office, a lawsuit has been filed against the singer Murda for “inciting drug use”.
The indictment alleged that some phrases in the singer’s songs “Duman,” “Expensive,” and “Eh Baba” encouraged drug or stimulant use. In the indictment, Önder Doğan was sentenced to between 5 and 10 years in prison for “inciting drug use” under Article 190/2 of the Turkish Criminal Code.
In his statement to prosecutors, Murda said, “I have two songs called ‘Duman.’ The song ‘Duman’ that I sing in Turkey is not the song that the charge says ‘are mine too. I grew up in the Netherlands. I grew up with the culture of this place. “The use of these substances is free there. So I didn’t think it was like that here. Rap songs are close to street jargon. There’s a very subtle nuance in between. It wasn’t sung to incite anyone to commit a crime,” he said .
