Rapper ASAP Rocky arrested for gun attack, released on bail

Rapper ASAP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport in November 2021 as a suspect in a shooting. The rapper was released on $550,000 bail shortly after his arrest.

According to AA’s report, police reports contained information that ASAP Rocky fired three or four shots at the victim and one of the bullets grazed the victim’s left hand. The rapper’s attorney, Alan Jackson, confirmed news of his incarceration but did not elaborate on the matter.

It is reported that ASAP Rocky will appear in court on August 17th.

Approaching her in Stockholm on June 30, 2019 “Beatings against migrant youth” ASAP Rocky and his two bodyguards, found guilty in the lawsuit filed against them, have been fined. The rapper and his bodyguards, who were arrested July 3 after the incident and remained in custody until August 2, returned to the United States where the trial is pending after the verdict.

US President Donald Trump backed the artist who was under investigation after images of ASAP Rocky’s beating surfaced online. Trump called former Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and said he personally vouched for Rocky.
