‘Inappropriate conduct’ complaint against Bill Murray: Filming halted

WALL – Aziz Ansari’s first feature film, Being Mortal, best known for his TV series Parks and Recreation, began filming on March 28 following a complaint against Bill Murray, the film’s star.

According to what the big screen of Deadline said Murray was reported to authorities for undisclosed conduct. As the investigation progressed, the decision was made to halt production, which was almost half completed. According to the information provided, the complete cancellation of the film is also on the agenda.

Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut is based on the non-fiction book Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End, which was also adapted into a 2015 Emmy-nominated documentary. Ansari also stars in the film he wrote and produced. The film’s cast also includes the likes of Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer.

Being Mortal is set to hit theaters in 2023, but it’s not yet known when production will resume and whether Bill Murray will be there.
