HALKBANK undertakes social efforts to increase access to books across the country. The “Smiling Book” project, which is being implemented in cooperation with the bank’s head office staff, a large volunteer team of branch employees and the Medical Tourism Association, aims to bring libraries to village schools and nursing homes. The project, carried out to develop social participation based on the dissemination and strengthening of reading habits, brings together the books read or unread at home with potential new readers. As part of the Smiling Book project, Halkbank, specifically its employees and their families, Halkbank customers and any entity with which it will work; By mobilizing all volunteer book lovers, it aims to reach at least 50,000 books in a year and contribute to the creation of libraries in 500 elementary schools and various nursing homes. Books that donors wish to submit can be delivered in person to Halkbank branches.
