The film, written by Sadık Güneş, tells the story of an Anatolian woman who migrated from the village to the city and in old age was forced to live in the city. The film focuses on Alzheimer’s disease and aims to highlight many of the issues of family and community life today.
MIRRORED HALUK
The film, directed by Bülent İşbilen, is about a detective who has been disconnected from life and devoted to his profession since his wife took his son and left him, and he breaks the rules while trying to catch criminals.
WHO SAYS WE ARE BAD?
The animated film Who Said We Are Bad?, brought to the big screen by Pierre Perifel, tells the story of a master gang of criminal animals trying to become model citizens.
OLGA
Former national gymnast Anastasia Budiashkina, who represented Ukraine at the 2016 European Junior Championships, plays the character “Olga”, which gives the film its name. Other gymnasts in the film are also played by professional athletes. The first feature film from award-winning short film director Elie Grappé is about a talented 15-year-old Ukrainian gymnast fighting for her dream of achieving the Olympic gold medal, whose world is being turned upside down with the Orange Revolution in Kyiv and the European Championships approaching.
