Singer Demet Akalın attended the fast-breaking dinner at the invitation of President Erdoğan. At a meeting with Erdoğan, Akalın called for Erdoğan’s music ban to be lifted. Akalın, who shared on his social media account due to Eid al-Fitr, reiterated this request.

Demet Akalın tagged President Erdogan on her social media account asking for “good news” on Eid al-Fitr. Akalın called on Erdogan to lift the music ban. Akalın wrote: “A good holiday message would be good for @RTErdogan’s music ban” for the music ban to be lifted.

Akalın found on my page when he got no results after the consecutive requests he made regarding the music ban. Akalın said: “Even Acun has lifted the island of absence, our music ban has not been lifted!!! Wow what a sin we committed.”

Singer Demet Akalın urged President Erdoğan, with whom she met at the fast-breaking dinner at Dolmabahçe Palace, to lift the ban on live music after 12 p.m. Akalın stated that he shared the issue with Erdoğan, and President Erdoğan called Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy to his side and got his word that they would start work.
