Silent Invasion, Racist Film aims to incite Turks against refugees

The short film “Silent Invasion” released on YouTube by political communicator Hande Karacasu was quickly shared by many anti-refugee accounts. The short film, which has been promoted by similar accounts for a few days, is intended to provoke the Turks against the Syrian refugees.

“THIS IS YOU CANNOT ENTER THE COUNTRY BY WRIPPING YOUR HANDS”

The short film begins with the dreams of a family with a child in 2011. The parents, who lived a very happy life before the Syrians arrived, dream of their unborn child Göktuğ becoming a doctor.

When the family saw on TV news that Syrian refugees were coming to Turkey as a result of the civil war in Syria, they said: “I don’t think they will come again. They don’t feel like entering the country by waving their arms,” he says, and the story moves on.

SYRIANS BECOME PRESIDENT

On May 3, 2043, cameras show Istanbul in ruins. The Syrians have dominated everywhere and are chasing the Turks they see on the streets. Syrian President of ‘Istanbul Province’ to Become Turkey’s Head of State in Presidential Elections

GÖKTUĞ CANNOT BE A DOCTOR BECAUSE…

Göktuğ, on the other hand, cannot become a doctor because the Syrians have taken over the whole place. It is forbidden to speak Turkish. Göktuğ laments his family by saying, “I wish we could go back to the 2020s, we got into this situation because of you,” giving a message to the people living in Turkey today.

MESSAGE FROM THE SHORT FILM: SYRIANS WILL TAKE THE CASE OF TURKEY

The short film also conveys a message to the Turks living in Turkey today about a dystopia in which the Syrians took over Turkey and persecuted the Turks. The film with the message “If you don’t do anything today, it will be like this tomorrow”, also calls on the Turks to take action.

“TURKISH” FISH

Karacasu explained that they released the film on “Turkism May 3rd Day” and aim to exploit the feelings of a certain group of people through Turkism. With the released short film, Turkism is also intended to be used as a tool for anti-refugee racism.

THE FILM FILLS THE ENEMY AGAINST SYRIAN REFUGEES

Claiming that Syrian refugees will start chasing Turks in the streets, the film’s message fuels hostility towards Syrian refugees. In recent days many asylum seekers have been the target of violence due to the actions provoked by Ümit Özdağ and the anti-refugee teams.

The US has at various times aimed at internal provocations in Turkey as part of its plans for chaos. The release of this film at such a time serves to fuel racist violence against refugees and America’s plans for chaos.
